A new smile changes the whole face.

Every case is planned around how you look when you smile, talk, and laugh, not just how the teeth look up close. These are Dr. Advani's own patients, shared with their consent.

I've never placed an implant on a scan or X-ray. I place them on a person.

— Dr. Vishal Advani
One Doctor · Every Step · Same Address Since 2012

The doctor who places your implants is the one who builds your teeth, and he'll still be here to see how they hold up.

At many implant offices, one person does the surgery, someone else gives the sedation, and a lab technician fits your teeth. At Advani Implant Institute, Dr. Vishal Advani personally handles or directly oversees every step, from your first scan to your final bridge and every check-up after.

01

Planning

Your 3D CT scan, smile design and implant plan, done twice in Blue Sky Plan and X-Guide.

02

Sedation

Dr. Advani holds an Illinois permit for IV moderate sedation. He provides it himself or works alongside a nurse anesthetist (CRNA) or physician anesthesiologist, and either way he personally watches your sedation throughout the procedure.

03

Surgery

Extractions and implant placement, guided by X-Nav live 3D navigation.

04

Temporary teeth

He designs your same-day bridge, has it 3D-printed in our office, and fits it himself.

05

Final teeth

He designs your zirconia or NanoCeramic bridge in our in-office lab, then fits and adjusts it himself.

06

The years after

Maintenance visits, at the same address, with the same doctor.

14 years
Same location · Same doctor

Dr. Advani has practiced at this address, on the Ascension Alexian Brothers campus in Elk Grove Village, since 2012. That means he sees his own work years later: how bridges wear, how the gums respond, and what holds up over time. Those lessons go straight into how he plans and builds every new case.

A doctor who has been at an office for only a year or two hasn't had the chance to see that. And when your warranty runs 10 years, it matters that the doctor who did the work is likely to still be here.

Questions to ask any implant office

  • How long has the doctor practiced at this office?
  • Who will give my sedation, and is the doctor watching it the whole time?
  • Who will place my temporary teeth: the doctor, or a lab technician?
  • Who will design and place my final bridge?
  • Who will see me for maintenance in five or ten years?
Why The Institute

Four reasons patients travel from across the Midwest.

The Advani Implant Institute is not a typical dental practice. It's an advanced implant practice built for complex cases, continuous training, and uncompromising care.

I.

Hospital Setting

Located inside Ascension Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Emergency medical support is on the same floor, not across town.

II.

Institute-Level Expertise

Dr. Advani teaches advanced techniques for severe bone loss — pterygoid, trans-sinus, palatal approach, nasopalatine canal implants — through the Institute's training program.

III.

X-Nav Dynamic Navigation

Real-time GPS-style guidance during surgery — placement accuracy measured in microns. Used by less than 1% of dentists in the U.S.

IV.

IV Sedation Available

Advanced IV sedation training. Sedation administered by Dr. Advani with monitoring performed by Dr. Advani and the surgical RN team throughout the procedure.

Dynamic Guided Surgery

The first GPS for implant placement.

Most implant surgery is still done freehand or with a static plastic guide that's printed weeks ahead. The Advani Implant Institute uses X-Nav dynamic navigation — a real-time, optical tracking system that shows the exact position, depth, and angle of the drill on screen during surgery, accurate to within microns.

The benefit is straightforward: fewer surprises, smaller incisions, faster recovery. Implants are placed exactly where they were planned digitally — not approximately, not "close enough." For complex cases like full-arch reconstruction, severe jawbone loss, or implants near critical anatomy, that precision is the difference between a routine outcome and a complication.

When Others Said No

Implants when you've been told “no bone.”

Many patients arrive at the Institute after being told elsewhere that they "don't have enough bone" for implants. Most of them do — they just need a dentist trained in advanced anchorage techniques that work where conventional placement won't.

01

Pterygoid Implants

Anchorage in the pterygoid plate of the sphenoid bone. Reaches dense bone behind the maxillary sinus — avoids sinus lifts entirely.

02

Trans-Sinus Implants

Implant placement that traverses the sinus to reach native bone above. Eliminates the wait time and morbidity of traditional sinus augmentation.

03

Palatal Approach

Angled placement utilizing palatal bone density when buccal bone is insufficient. A specialty technique for severe upper-arch resorption.

04

Nasal & Piriform Rim Anchorage

Implants engaging the dense cortical bone of the nasal floor and piriform rim. Provides anterior maxillary support in cases with extreme bone loss.

05

Nasopalatine Canal Implants

Carefully placed implants utilizing the nasopalatine canal for anchorage in bone loss at the front of the upper jaw. Requires advanced 3D planning.

06

Zygomatic Implants

For the most severe upper-jaw bone loss. Dr. Advani has completed advanced training in zygomatic implant surgery, and these procedures are available through the Institute. Offered for select cases requiring zygomatic anchorage.

I was referred to Dr. Advani after experiencing complications with a dental implant that had been installed incorrectly by a previous dentist. From my very first appointment, I was impressed with Dr. Advani's professionalism, expertise, and genuine care. He took the time to thoroughly explain my situation, walk me through my options, and correct the problem with precision and attention to detail.
