Dominika before and after upper and lower All-on-6 dental implants by Dr. Vishal Advani

Where she started

Dominika had been fighting her teeth for most of her life. Root canals, bridges, repairs: one fix after another, and none of it held. By the time she came to us she had multiple missing teeth, an upper bridge that had become infected, and a lower denture that had broken. Eating was a negotiation. Smiling was something she'd learned to avoid.

She'd already visited a few other offices. What she wanted wasn't another patch. She wanted an answer that would last.

One day. Two arches. Twelve implants.

After a 3D CT scan and digital planning, everything happened in a single visit under sedation. Dr. Advani:

  • Removed the infected and broken teeth in both jaws.
  • Placed 6 implants in the upper jaw and 6 in the lower jaw. Six per arch, not four, for more support under her bite and a built-in backup.
  • Used pterygoid implants to anchor the back of the upper bridge in dense bone behind the upper molars. It's an advanced technique for patients who don't have much bone left, and it can avoid months of bone grafting.
  • Attached a full set of fixed teeth before she went home. She never spent a day without teeth.

Her verdict on surgery day? “I was totally numb. I felt no pain.”

The final smile

After about three months of healing, the temporary teeth came out and her final zirconia bridges went in. Zirconia is the strongest, most stain-resistant option for full-arch teeth, and Dominika's bridges are backed by our 10-year warranty. Dr. Advani handled every step himself, from the extractions and implants to the final teeth.

In Her Own Words

“Six months later, I can eat anything I want.”

Six months later, I can eat anything I want. Hi, my name is Dominika, and I recently completed a full mouth restoration here at Elk Grove Smile Center. I had bad teeth most of my life. I had plenty of root canals, bridges, everything, and they ended up falling out. I started searching for a dentist and went to a few places. Why did I choose Elk Grove Smile Center? Everything was explained very easily, and the staff was very professional. I highly recommend Dr. Advani for his knowledge, how he explained everything to me, and how educated he is in this procedure. I feel like I could not have chosen a better place. The staff was very nice, and everybody did all the follow-ups. I'm just grateful for this opportunity. The day of my procedure was very easy, at least for me. I was totally numb. I felt no pain, and it was extremely easy and tolerable for me. I am extremely, extremely happy with the result. Don't hesitate to get this life-changing procedure done. Thank you.

Could this be you?

Dominika's case is a good match for you if:

  • You've spent years on root canals, crowns and bridges that keep failing.
  • You wear a denture that's loose, broken or just miserable.
  • You've been told you don't have enough bone for implants. Here's why that's often not the final word.
  • You want fixed teeth the same day, not months without a smile.

Quick answers

How many implants did Dominika get?

Twelve: six in the upper jaw and six in the lower jaw, including pterygoid implants at the back of the upper jaw.

Did she have teeth the same day?

Yes. Her failing teeth were removed, the implants were placed, and fixed temporary teeth were attached in the same visit. Her final zirconia bridges were placed after about three months of healing.

What are pterygoid implants?

Implants anchored in the dense pterygoid bone behind the upper molars. They give the back of an upper bridge solid support when there isn't enough bone in that area, often without bone grafting.
